This Site Built Entirely on a Brunswick 2000

If you didn't happen to notice the tiny little lettering on the back of your scoresheets yesterday announcing the rollout of this site, you are not alone. Here's what I said.

The first thing to do is look yourself up at the top, and check out what's there. Then maybe do some exploring - your team has a page, playoffs are in here, milestones, a ticker....

There is a message/feedback icon that follows you around - if you see any errors or have suggestions or other feedback, use it liberally. The site is very much still under construction....

And you might ask - why oh why did I swallow this fly?

Years ago, I said I was going to make us a site like Baseball Reference, where all the stats could live and everybody would get to have their very own dedicated page of history - I wasn't playing.

• I like data and many of you like data, and we've generated a lot of data since 2007, so what else were we gonna do with it all?

• The spreadsheets have done a heroic job for us all these years, but the bi-weekly process run through spreadsheets is a chore, and it was time to up our game.

• I wanted to learn how to do some things I hadn't. Yes, I have extra time on my hands. No, I don't need an intervention.

• Watching people try to find old bowling stats by checking through their emails was starting to get sad.

So yeah, I've tried to bring over everything and more that has been in the spreadsheets, it might take a little while for you to find out where everything is but it all SHOULD be here.
